SENIOR PASTOR
PARRIS D. MANN
Born and raised in Newark, N.J., Parris D. Mann is an aspiring theologian, educator, artist, and community leader whose work lives at the intersection of faith, scholarship, justice, and prophetic imagination. Rooted in the traditions of the Black Church and the African American Culture's need for Liberation, Parris found himself knocking at the door of the hiberative spirit of Methodism. His ministry reflects a deep commitment to spiritual growth, social transformation, and empowering people to walk boldly in their God-given purpose.
After marrying his wife in 2014, Parris deepened his theological journey and reconnected with his familial roots in the African Methodist Episcopal tradition while rediscovering the broader Wesleyan commitment to holiness, education justice, and service. That journey ultimately lec him into the United Methodist Church, where he now serves as a Local Pastor while continuing on the path toward Eldership.
Education
Parris is a graduate of New York Theological Seminary and also holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Grand Canyon University in Biblical and Theological Studies with a minor in Christian Leadership. He continues his graduate studies in Divinity and Social Justice. believing theology should speak not only to the Church, but also to the realities of community, culture, and human dignity.
